FAQ: Restrained Life
How do I use RestrainedLife with Amethyst
and Sensations products?
Thanks to the RestrainedLife viewer,
the latest version of the Collar, Cuffs and Sensations a new
level of submission can be had in SecondLife. This is a how
to guide to getting the most out of Amethyst and Sensations
products if you want to submit completely.
There are three non-default options we will go over to make submission so much more rewarding for those who are up for it!
First are the RestrainedLife plugins used in conjunction with Marine Kelley's RestrainedLife viewer found here:
http://www.erestraint.com/realrestraint/
The RestrainedLife plugins are found in the Amethyst Plugins Box and Sensations Plugins Box in my vendors.
Install the Amethyst RestrainedLife Script into the Amethyst Collar. Install the Sensations RestrainedLife Plugin Script into the right wrist cuff of Amethyst Cuffs and any other bondage related Sensations items.
These plugins will allow your Collar, Cuffs, and Sensations items to be locked and to limit you as they should.
Log into SecondLife via the RestrainedLife viewer and this new functionality will be unlocked.
Second is the new non-consensual mode of the Amethyst Collar introduced in v6.
Enable non-consensual mode by issuing .safeword nc
Non-consensual mode means that you will not have a safeword to get out of positions your owner puts you into, and additionally the .owner and .newowner commands are disabled if you have an owner. Therefore, if you are using RestrainedLife you will not be able to free yourself from your owner and you will not be able to escape positions your owner puts you into.
Finally a little known but very useful option of the Amethyst Collar when used with Amethyst Cuffs or Sensations items, is called Sensations Owners:
Sensations Owners can be enabled by issuing .sensowner
Sensations Owners when enabled shares the owner list of the collar with any Amethyst/Sensations items. The items are automatically set "out of reach" so only the owners can use them.
Additionally with v4 of the cuffs and v3.6 of Sensations, any locks on Amethyst/Sensations items automatically become unpickable, so when locked only the keyholder or the primary owner on the collar is able to unlock the items.
So as you can see with these three options enabled and using the RestrainedLife viewer life can be very controlled and restricted. You will be stuck like that until your primary owner frees you... additionally v6 introduces the ability of the primary owner to give collar ownership to someone new. So ownership of your collar can be transfered against your will while you are still locked in it! Giving a whole new level of roleplay, ideal for auction type environments.
I hope everyone will enjoy the new possibilities this opens up, and I would like to extend my thanks to Marine Kelley for making this possible!

How do I enabled the Restraint... menu
on my Sensations item?
After installing the Sensations
RestrainedLife Plugin Script into your item (if you need
to know how to do this read the installing plugins
section) then edit the Settings notecard in the item and
add the following line:
menu|true
The Restraint... menu will show up to others touching your item. If you want it to show up on your own menu as well then add:

to the notecard also.
