FAQ: General
What do I do if my item turns no
modify?
First of all, due to the way
Second Life works, your item may say (no modify) in
inventory when in fact it is modifiable. The only way to
truly tell if it is modifiable is to follow these steps:
1) Drop the item on the ground
2) Right click the item and pick Edit
3) Click the More >> button
4) Activate the General tab
5) Look at the text below the words "Permissions:"
If it says "You can modify this object." the modify permission is still intact. Nothing needs to be done.
If it says "You cannot modify this object." you have lost modify permission and unfortunately the only way to rectify the situation is with item replacement.
To obtain a replacement send an IM stating you've followed these instructions and requesting a replacement. Then you'll be requested to send the item back by dragging it onto my profile. I'll finally send you a new item.

What do I do if I get a Stack/Heap
Collision?
Resetting your item in case of a
Stack/Heap Collision. Since Second Life 1.13 this seems
to have become a common occurrance. This error is caused
when one of the scripts in the item runs out of memory.
This can be caused by malicious scripts in your sim,
bugs in the item and bugs in Second Life. In the
unfortunate event that you run into one of these, you
can reset your item by doing the following:
Right click the item. Pick "Edit" from the pie menu. Pull down the "Tools" menu from the top of the screen and choose "Reset Scripts in Selection."
If this option is grayed out your item has lost modify permission. This can happen by passing the collar between people after editing it's properties or by bugs in Second Life. The only fix for this is item replacement.

Do you accept returns or exchanges?
You can return or exchange items
within 7 days of the original purchase.
Only the original purchaser can get a refund or an exchange.
To get an exchange or refund please make a folder in your inventory with your name along with refund or exchange in the folder's name.
Put the item to be refunded or exchanged in the folder and then drag and drop the folder onto Amethyst Rosencrans' profile.
If you ask for a refund after getting support for the product, a fee of $100L will be charged for every 5 minute period of support up to the cost of the item. This fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
The items must be complete to receive a refund, or at least contain the most important parts.

Do you have a vendor I can put out to
sell your items with a commission?
Not currently due to inherent
risks associated with these type systems. If a good
solution presents itself to do this I will implement it
in the future.
PLEASE NOTE --
The Amethyst Network Vendor system is not this! This is for selling YOUR items not mine.

I am getting a "License failure"
message with an item, what does this mean?
Sensations 3.6 uses a different
system for validating items, there are 3 ways a license
can be valid:
1) Licensed scripts obtained from Amethyst match the creator of the object.
2) Object and scripts contained are no copy or no transfer.
3) Creator of the object is the owner of the object. (for developers)
Therefore if you install the collar scripts in an object that you did not create and it is fully permissive then the scripts will not function properly. If you change the permissions on the object to no copy or no transfer and pass it to someone else it should function.
Please note, if passing back and forth between people it needs to be rezzed by the intermediary person for the next owner permissions to take effect.

The main prim of my item does not
change when I use the Color... menu, what is wrong?
Old items used to have color
change rules built into the scripts. This information
has been removed along with the old licensing system,
therefore the rules for color changing are now stored in
the prims of the object. Sub-prims use their object name
for this information, the main prim of the object has
this information stored in the object description. The
updaters now contain the rules for old items to be
changed, and they try to make the changes to the object.
However if the item is worn while the update is in
progress, then the changes to the prims may not remain
when the item is taken off. Therefore if your item's
main prim is not changing color like it should, take the
following steps:
1) Drop the item on the ground.
2) Edit the item.
3) Set the object description (on the general tab) to be the type of the item.
(If you don't know the type, look at the contents and open the Settings notecard)
4) Take the object back into inventory.

How do I install plugins in an item?
If the plugin script to be
installed is full permissions then it can be installed
while the item is worn. If the plugin is not fully
permissive (such as the RestrainedLife plugin) then the
item must be dropped on the ground before the plugin can
be installed.
1) Right click the item and pick Edit.
2) Drag and drop the plugin script into the contents tab of the item.
The plugin will initialize and the new functionality will be enabled.

What is your item replacement policy?
As a matter of necessity due to
the unreliability of Second Life to successfully
complete transactions, items will be replaced if a
reasonable case is made:
I reserve the right to decline a replacement or refund.
Reasons why a replacement will be declined:
1) The item has already been replaced.
2) The customer is rude or disrespectful.
3) The customer has been involved in theft or griefing.
4) The customer cannot provide information requested about the transaction.
Other reasons not specified under unusual circumstances and this list is subject to change at any time.
