FAQ: Collar
What do I do when I am stuck in an
animation?
There are several ways that you
will get stuck in an animation that is by design, you
just need to know the correct way to stop it. Here are
some possible explanations:
1) If you are not a secondary owner on the collar and an owner puts you into an animation, you will not be able to .release yourself. You must have an owner release you or log off and log back on.
2) Your arms are stuck behind your back (.bind), your hands are stuck in front of your chest (.pony) or you are stuck crawling on the ground (.crawl). These are special AO animations, and you revoke them with the .walk command.
3) If you are in an animation and reset the collar, the animation will not stop. If you are in this circumstance pull down the Tools menu at the top of the screen and pick the Stop All Animations menu item.

My collar is not responding to
commands, what do I do?
There are several reasons this
could be happening:
1) The prefix has been changed and you are using the wrong prefix. To figure out what your prefix is type *prefix in public. All the Amethyst Collars nearby will answer, so find your response. If your collar does not respond continue to #2.
2) Your collar has been Opened and the important scripts have been removed. To see if this is the case, right click the collar and pick Edit. If there is a More >> button press it and look in the Contents tab. It is in alphabetical order so scroll down to the Cs and see if Collar Script exists. If Collar Script does not exist then you need to locate Collar Script and Leash Script in your inventory. Send these scripts and the collar back to Amethyst Rosencrans for a replacement.
3) The public listener has been removed. If .channel -1 has been issued the public listener has been removed and the collar is only listening on the alternate channel. In this case you need to remember the alternate channel and use that or reset the collar. See the General / What do I do if I get a Stack/Heap Collision? section for instructions on how to reset your collar.

Do you sell copyable collars?
Yes but there are several sets of
options with drawbacks. First we'll start with the
limitations and pluses of all the copyables I sell.
1) Copyables are keyed (set to a particular primary owner). I do not sell copyables for resale.
2) Secondaries can be keyed also, but that will remove the ability to add more secondaries later, without rekeying.
3) Rekeying costs $500 each time. (for upgrading or changing prekeyed secondaries)
Unless the event that required the rekeying was my fault.
Next there are 3 ways I can make the collar:
1) Classic Style
2) Slim Style
3) Custom Copyable (You give me a full permission collar and I install the scripts in it)
What I need to make you a collar (Put this information on a notecard and send it to me):
1) The primary owner's name and key. (You need an item to get the key)
2) The names and keys of any secondary owners (if any.... see above)
3) The style from the previous section.
4) A list of plugins or other things to be preloaded in the collars (if any).
What needs to be done then:
1) When I have free time I will do the labor to key the scripts using the information provided (usually takes 15 mins).
2) The primary owner (and any secondaries if necessary) will be asked to come and test the keyings.
3) After the collar is shown to be functional, you will pay the 5K and I will deliver the copyable collar.
Post delivery notes:
1) It is wise to only give collars with the copy attribute set to people needing it, like slavers.
Slaves should get collars with copy turned off.
2) While the collars will be copyable in your inventory, if you rez them they will inherit the permissions of the contents.

Why is my avatar floating/sinking when
playing animations?
The collar does not control
positioning of the avatar, all it does is play the
animation. Most animations are designed for the default
SL avatar shape. If your avatar shape has
disproportionate hip location compared to the default SL
avatar you will either float off the ground or sink into
it. Shoes can also affect the location of the hips, so
high heel shoes often cause the avatar to float more
than normal. The two available solutions are:
1) Adjust your avatar shape to find a more suitable hip position for the existing animations
2) Have custom animations made for your avatar shape.

The leash is not working, what do I
do?
First edit your collar and make
sure that both Amethyst Bell Script and Leash Script are
present and set running. These two scripts are required
for the leash to function. Second it is possible that
the Leash Script is out of sync with the collar script.
Changing the contents of the collar should cause Collar
Script to reannounce the owner list to the plugins and
Leash Script. Finally remove the owner and readd them to
force the scripts back into sync.
